Small Natural Straw Shepherdess Hat Trimmed with Taffeta and Glass Grapes

SEE Calico Chronicles page 38 Fib 14 with a mannequin wearing this bonnet. Effie was the daughter of Marion Virgil Brownfield (b. 1854, d. 1929) of Brownfield, Texas and the granddaughter of Martha Ellen S. Chipps Brownfield (b. 1827, d. 1895) of Fayette County Pennsylvania who moved to Tarrant County, Texas and the granddaughter of Angeline Anderson Hornbeck (b 1922, d. 1893) of Hylton, Nolan County, Texas. Likely one of Mrs. Wilson’s grandmothers wore this hat.
